Stilt homes
Stilt homes are one of the many styles available in Het Nieuwe Water. These extraordinary homes look out upon the surrounding environment, like giant binoculars. The stilt homes will be located close to a dike, with a footbridge leading to each home's entrance. The stilt homes will be built on dry land or in shallow water in the overflow region of the former polder. Because each home lies several meters above ground level, they are a safe and comfortable way to build and to live.
