Location and accessibility
Easy to reach by land and by sea
Het Nieuwe Water lies between the Naaldwijkseweg and the Plas van Alle Winden, southeast of the city of ’s-Gravenzande. It covers an impressive 80-hectare area bordered by the Nieuwe Vaart and Poelwatering canals east and west and the Naaldwijkseweg road to the south.
Het Nieuwe Water is easily accessible, both by water - over the scenic Westland waterways - and by car, bicycle and public transportation. You can enter the development from the 's-Gravenzande side (via the Rijnvaartweg road or Edison and Braillestraat streets) and from the Naaldwijk side (via the Hoge Geest road or the Boomgaardspad road). Two future access roads are currently being designed. Public transportation to points in Westland County, Hoek van Holland on the coast, and metropolitan The Hague is within walking distance.
The new neighborhood has an island structure, with road bridges, bicycle bridges and culverts at several locations, giving Het Nieuwe Water its charming, small-town feel. A wealth of walking and cycling routes throughout the neighborhood contribute to optimum accesibility.
